The season just got better for Graham Jarvis and the MRS Sherco team, after taking his fifth British Championship Trials title a couple of weeks ago, Jarvis broke history at the famous Scott Trial at the weekend, where he took his eighth win, the most any rider has won it since the Scott Trial began in 1914!

Jarvis has been on a role recently when he beat Michael Brown to the British Championship title at the final round at Bradford and was eager to break history at the Scott. Jarvis took his last win at the Scott Trial in 2005 and has since been trying for that prestigious eighth win, which would make him the best rider of all time in the trial. Beating his mentor Malcolm Rathmell, who won six, when Jarvis won in 2005 taking win number seven, where he equalled that of the legend Sammy Miller, Jarvis was more than keen to keep going for the win this weekend.

Working hard throughout the day around the 75-miles of moorland the 33-year-old got his head down and pushed hard on the windy, wet and cold day around the Richmond moors. Unable to set fastest time and following James Dabill throughout the day, Jarvis finished six minutes behind Dabill but only dropped 39 marks on observation, finishing only two marks in front of Dabill when the results finally came out later that evening. Jarvis took win number eight and secured himself a seat in the history books.

Jarvis commented "I'm made up with taking my eighth win, it's been a long time coming and I'd like to thank everyone that has helped me get this far and achieve what I have. It's been a great year and it could be my last at trials so it's nice to go out on a high note. Thanks again for everyone's support over the year, especially Malcolm and Rhoda Rathmell."

Congratulations must also go to Leon Camier and Josh Brookes who decided to take on the challenge of the Scott Trial for the first time, both riding Sherco's they were unable to finish but managed to get to petrol check four, which was an incredible achievement. Even ex World Champion Dougie Lampkin congratulated the pair on what they managed to achieve! They have both said that they will return next year to finish it, but we will see on that! Jonny Walker on the MRS Sherco also won the 125 Rider award, a good day for the Sherco trials team across the board.

You can see all the MRS Sherco team in action at the Sherco Test Day on the 1st of November, for more information see www.malcolmrathmellsport.com. All Sherco's will be available to test throughout the day, see website for more information and to book a test ride.
