2014 Enduro Range

Malcolm Rathmell Sport are the Sole UK Importers for Sherco Motorcycles. They have imported the bike, which was formerly Bultaco since 1999. In 2000 the bike was known as Sherco by Bultaco and from 2001 it has been trading solely under the Sherco name. The Bultaco name, which is synonymous with trials success during the '70s, was bought by the Sherco founder, Mr Marc Tessier. In 2004 Sherco started producing 450i Enduro bikes. This was one of the first manufactures to go with fuel injection, instead of the usual carburettor option. In 2005 Sherco then produced the 450i Supermotard bike, then in 2006 made the 510i in both models.

In 2008 Sherco launched there all new engine, the 250i DOHC which set new standards due to it's great compact size and great

power output and reliability, producing great results in it's first year around the World with it's rider Graham Jarvis finishing on the podium on many occasions in the extreme enduro rounds.

In 2010 Sherco added another model to the Enduro range and this is the new 300i, which is also using the smaller DOHC engine.

2014 has seen the launch of the new 2-stroke Enduro range in a 250 and 300cc engine options. Also Sherco will be launching their new 450i and 510i Enduro range.

2014 SHERCO ENDURO SPEC CHANGES
 

250 4T:
- New long-stroke engine
- Bore and stroke changed: 54.8 x76mm.
- New lightweight crankshaft, new cylinder, new piston 76mm diameter.
- Compression ratio: 13.2:1
- Maximum RPM: 13,500 rev / min
- Cylinder Head redesign in order to improve performance and optimize engine performance at low speeds.

300 4T:
- New Synerject injection system on the long-stroke engine
- Maximum RPM: 13,000 rev / min
- New cylinder head with 30mm steel intake valve
- 42 mm diameter throttle body
- New ignition system, new flywheel that has reduced inertia
 
Common design changes 250/300 4T

Engine:
- New water pump impeller
- Strengthened center engine case at the crankshaft bearings along with new bearings and a stiffer crankshaft
- Gearbox optimized, number of internal parts reduced
Chassis:
- New Trail Tech computer with maintenance indicator and operation hours function.
- Revised rear shock absorber settings


- Modern system
- Steeper motor to manage the idle and engine braking
- Pressure sensor in the inlet body that manages the injection time and adjusts the mix based on the air filter contamination
- Ability to update the calibration via the internet
- Synerject injection system: 30 month project
- Motorcycles have been running with this system

 

250/300 2 T:

Engine:

-Position of the electric starter

-Choice of electronic valves

-Description of the valves and boosters

-Choice of high performance components (Kokusan electronic system - Keihin carburettor V Force Reed Valves - Twin Air Air Filter – Custom Skidplate)

 

Chassis:

-Maximum torsional stiffness

-Flexibility in bending for rider comfort

-Riding position adaptable to riders of different sizes

-High capacity fuel tank and position in the framework

-General ergonomics of the motorcycle (from the 4T experience)

-Special suspension settings for the 2T (Sherco test rider input)



250/300 2T:
